Self discipline is important for any player. This is the most indispensable requirement for any successful gamer. Many gamers will start by playing intelligently. Then as the game play goes on, they start to lose their self control. As they start to lose perhaps they get a bit on edge and play unpredictably to recover there bets. This is not the way to go for sure. Playing with your emotions good or bad is never the best way to game. There are many slight pressures in any gaming situation that can drive a player to play with his emotions. Gambling for me is spending time and money for fun. It’s a game that uses cards, dice, cards, tokens, money, guts and luck. But I never thought that it can be in sports. I thought betting is only for horse racings and the like. Gambling can also be involving in other sports like basketball, baseball, etc—the real sports that I know. And I never thought of the Professional gamblers. What are they? People who practice gambling? Do they really make money out of it? I mean they do when they place a bet but that’s what they do for a living? I guess I’m not really that familiar with gambling but according to a friend, these gambling sports are even broadcast from televisions. I heard that even celebrities play it and it’s a big catch. There are even those whom you pay to teach you some tips and shows you techniques in winning the game. Well, I guess I have to sign up for that. Who knows, I might be a good “professional gambler” soon.

My husband and I go to Las Vegas during holidays. And we just love to see the night life and the casino! And once in a while, my husband would leave home for 2 weeks or more and always tells me he’ll be away for a business trip. I got worried when his trips for a week or two became months and it turned out, e stays home for like a week and always stays in the office most of the time. It was too late when I learned that he was not actually goes for a business trip. I called the office and told me that he resigned 3 months ago and his friends are also worried especially when he goes to office tired, stressed and always talks about roulette, poker, baccarat and other activities in the casino. Last week, a storm came and the rain poured hard that made everyone got stuck inside the house. My room mates and I got really bored playing video games. So we thought of doing some gamble and play poker. Unluckily, we haven’t got our weekly allowances since it was raining hard, we can’t run to a nearby ATM to withdraw some cash. All we have in out pockets were coins and some bills and some coins again. We started playing and we didn’t notice at first that the coins start to pile up and the pot money grew bigger and bigger. And we never thought that we could raise money from the money we have from our pockets. It’s actually a lot bigger than we thought. And to cut the story short, I won! After playing for almost 5 hours, I won! But of course, after the game, we all got hungry. As the winner and the “richest” among us, I was given the “privilege” to order pizza and a few bottles of beer. In the end, everyone is a winner. But the thing is, I realized that we could really make fortunes out of small bills. Even from coins.

Every month my friends and I go to our favorite place which is so homey and cozy to get away from the stressful works we have and basically to have our month-long waited poker night. Before, it was just a typical get together and do some catch ups with happening with our lives and work. Until we realized its not so much fun to do anymore and we were actually just eat and talk about lives and anything over some bottles of wine and beer. But next gathering made it extra exciting when our guy friends brought with them to play the poker. And we thought, “yeah, why not?!” Since we felt the need to do some activities more than catching up, we might as well do while seating down and play those cards.
To make or game more interesting, I thought that we should take the picture of the person who won that night and we posted it in our bulletin board. With that, we will the reason not to miss any gathering and our champ will be the person to look forward to and beat him. And we call him, “Gambler of the Month-beat him down!”

My brother just got his very first credit card three days ago. And we were so excited to use it. We were thinking where we will use it first until we got into this online gambling. And there are also those who talk a lot trying to manipulate your decisions unconsciously. And I’m telling you they are really good at it. I got to lose a lot of money for a wrong decision. And I just realized that I can learn a lot about Psychology from poker. So the next time you go for a poker night, observe and try to read your opponent’s mind, learn from their moves and bring home that pot of gold!

I love to go to casino especially during holidays but then my schedule got jammed up and I got too busy from the office and I travel a lot. Now I can barely find time to visit the casino. So I thought that if I can’t go to the casino, why not let the casino go with me. Last month, I bought this old van and have it pimped from an auto shop managed by my sister’s boyfriend. I found a miniature roulette wheel and a poker table from a local store nearby. And in just 3 weeks, my van looks brand new. It’s different, stylish but not too showy, and most of all, I got my casino inside my van! Now I can play along with my officemates during road trips and they really envy my car. Coz it’s really one of a kind! I’ve been using it for a week now and my boss even wants to share a ride with us just because he wanted to play and take a break from work like what we always wanted. He even lends his driver to us so we can all play at the back and have the grandest time while we have it.

Every Saturday night is our casino day with my best friend. But unluckily, he got flu from his trip a week before our fun day. But that doesn’t stop me from getting my fortunes in the casino. So I got there alone and my instinct got me my fortunes! That was my luckiest day ever! But of course, I still feel bad about my best friend’s condition. So I thought that if I would only listen to my guts and instinct and go for it despite the many hindrances, I would’ve been rich by now. And then, I made a vow to myself that if you’re into winning or losing, go get gambling. If you lose better luck next time, if you win get all the luck you can get. For richer or poorer, til the last penny drop, gambler’s fun life forever… But most of all, gambling is not made to make your life miserable. It’s made to have fun, a form of relaxation, a form of stress, a form of happiness, and a form of despair. Go with friends or be alone, your game lies in your hands. At the end the day, its simple a game of winning or losing.
